How does Overon make money on the free plan?

Free plan links route visitors through a 5-second interstitial that displays third-party advertising via Adsterra. Overon earns revenue from ad impressions, which subsidizes the cost of providing free shortener service. Visitors can decline non-essential cookies via a consent banner on the interstitial.

Can I add a banner to my short links?

Yes. Every short link can have an optional banner image with a clickable call-to-action. Free plan supports 5 active banners; Lite adds more, and Creator and Business plans are unlimited. Banners appear after the ad interstitial on free links, and immediately on paid links.

Does Overon support iOS or Android smart routing?

Yes, on the Creator plan and above. Smart routing sends visitors to different destinations based on device (iOS, Android, desktop). The Business plan adds country-level routing for geo-targeted destinations.

How is Overon different from Bitly?

Overon's distinguishing feature is branded banner overlays — every short link can display a custom banner image on top of the destination page. Bitly does not offer this. Both shorten URLs and track clicks; Overon's free tier is ad-supported with unlimited links, while Bitly's free tier limits link creation.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes. Cancel from the Stripe Billing Portal accessible via Plan & Billing in your dashboard. You retain paid features until the end of the current billing period; we do not provide prorated refunds for partial periods.
