Terms of Service

Last updated: May 10, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Overon platform (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you may not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and paying subscribers.

2. Description of Service

Overon provides a URL shortening and banner overlay platform that allows users to:

  • Create shortened links that redirect to destination URLs
  • Attach custom banner overlays to shortened links
  • Track click analytics including geographic data, referrers, and device information
  • Manage links and overlays through a dashboard interface

3. Account Registration

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Share or redirect to illegal, harmful, or malicious content
  • Distribute malware, phishing pages, or deceptive links
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
  • Send spam or unsolicited bulk messages
  • Attempt to bypass usage limits or abuse the Service infrastructure
  • Upload banner images containing illegal, offensive, or misleading content
  • Impersonate another person or entity

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines without prior notice.

5. Subscription Plans & Billing

5.1 Free Plan

The Free plan provides limited access to features at no cost. When a visitor clicks a Free plan short link, they are routed through a 5-second interstitial page that displays third-party advertising and Overon branding before continuing to the destination. Overon earns revenue from these ad impressions, which subsidizes the cost of providing free shortener service. Upgrading to any paid plan removes the interstitial and ads.

Ads are served by reputable third-party networks. We do not control the specific creatives shown but we prohibit networks that serve malicious, deceptive, or explicit content. Ad networks may set cookies or use other tracking technologies on the interstitial page; see our Privacy Policy for details.

5.2 Paid Plans

Paid subscriptions (Lite, Creator, Business) are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. Prices are listed on our pricing page and may be updated with 30 days' notice.

5.3 Free Trials

Paid plans include a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin and you will be charged.

5.4 Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, you retain access to paid features until the end of the current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods.

5.5 Plan Changes & Proration

You may switch between paid plans at any time from the pricing page. When you switch plans during an active billing period, the change takes effect immediately and the price difference is calculated on a prorated basis:

  • Upgrades — the prorated cost of the higher tier for the remainder of the current period is billed to your saved payment method immediately. You receive access to the upgraded features right away.
  • Downgrades — the prorated unused value of the higher tier is credited to your saved payment method immediately. The lower-tier limits and features apply right away. We do not retroactively remove content that exceeds the lower-tier quota (for example, links or banners already created), but you may not be able to create additional content beyond the new limits.
  • Switching billing period (monthly ↔ annual) — handled the same way: the prorated difference is billed or credited immediately.

Changes to your subscription, including the prorated charge or credit, are reflected on your most recent invoice and visible from your Plan & Billing page. Plan switching is also available through the Stripe Billing Portal accessible from the same page.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by Asheon. You retain ownership of content you upload (banner images, links). By uploading content, you grant us a license to host, display, and distribute it as part of the Service's functionality.

7. Link Availability & Uptime

We strive to maintain high availability for link redirects but do not guarantee 100% uptime. Shortened links may become unavailable due to maintenance, abuse removal, or account deletion. We are not liable for losses resulting from link downtime.

8. Account Deletion

You may request account deletion from your account settings. We will process deletion requests within 30 days. Upon deletion, your links will stop redirecting and your data (including analytics, banner images, and personal information) will be permanently removed.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Overon and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

11. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Thailand. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Bangkok, Thailand.
